ARES Meeting

We'll have a brief meeting at Badger Prairie County Park. The primary purpose of this meeting is to hand out ID cards.

Badger Prairie County Park, Verona
Parking lot near the pavilion shelter. I don't have the shelter reserved. If it's open we could gather in there, otherwise we'll find a nice grassy spot.
See This Map
Enter from the South (Maple Grove Dr) or from the West (Verona Public Library / Enterprise Dr).

Here's the full agenda:

  • Hand out ID cards (if your callsign is listed below, I have an ID for you)
  • Take photos of members that need one taken
  • Discuss some upcoming events, e.g.
    • ARES district exercise 8/26/2017
    • SIMCOM Feb 6-8, 2018 in Fitchburg
  • Show-and-tell, open to everybody. Bring a radio, antenna, vehicle equipment, or anything that you want to show off.

Talk-in on 146.535 MHz simplex.

Next meeting will be in September (tentative topic: hospitals and their comms).

I have IDs for these people:

If your call sign is NOT listed here, it's probably due to two possible reasons:

  1. Your photo hasn't been taken.
  2. You haven't satisfied the membership requirements for full membership (completion of IS-100 and IS-700 is usually the limiting factor). Contact me if you have questions on that.
